Chestnut-sided Warbler (Dendroica pensylvanica), Tubac, Santa Cruz County

This Chestnut-sided Warbler was discovered by Matthew Brooks and Paul Suchanek and photographed by Paul Suchanek on 30 October 2009 along the Anza Trail north of the Tubac Bridge..

Chestnut-sided Warbler is a casual transient and winter visitor.

The hint of chestnut sides make this individual unmistakable, but it also displays the bright yellow-green back that makes this species distinctive in all plumages among similar wing-barred warblers.
