Varied Thrush (Ixoreus naevius), Colorado City Park, Mohave County

This Varied Thrush was discovered by Lauren Harter and David Vander Pluym and photographed by David Vander Pluym on 20 November 2011

Rare migrant and winter visitor through much of the state, at least a few Varied Thrushes have been reported annually in recent years.

Easily distinguished from similar sized American and Rufous-backed Robins by the grayish breast band that separates the pale orange throat and upper breast and similar colored lower breast
