Sabine's Gull (Xema sabini), Silverbell Recharge Basins, Pima County

This Sabine's Gull was discovered by Tyler Loomis on 03 September 2012 and photographed by Jeremy Medina on 04 September 2012.

Rare but usually annual migrant throughout Arizona, some years with multiple records.  Most records are in the fall. 

Small gull with brownish neck and back. In flight, the Sabine's Gull has a very distinctive wing pattern.
