Prothonotary Warbler (Protonotaria citrea), Lake Havasu north end, Mohave County

This Prothonotary Warbler was discovered by Lauren Harter on 01 October 2012 and photographed by John West on 02 October 2012 from his kayak. 

Prothonotary Warbler is a rare but annual transient in the state.

Note the bright yellow head and body, prominent black eye, plain blue gray wings and the white undertail coverts.
