Semipalmated Sandpiper (Calidris pusilla), Mammoth STP, Pinal County

This Semipalmated Sandpiper was discovered and photographed by Andrew Core on 28 April 2013

Casual spring migrant in Arizona, rare but regular in fall.

Note black legs, short bill and pale gray plumage with no rusty tones. Seen in the first photo with Leasts, third photo with a Western, and in the last photo with a Western Sandpiper on the right and a Least Sandpiper in the foreground.
