Rufous-capped Warbler (Basileuterus rufifrons), Sunny Flat Campground, Cave Creek Canyon, Cochise County

This Rufous-capped Warbler was found by Pat and Keith Taylor and photographed by Pat on 11 June 2014

Just over 20 records, some including multiple and long staying birds. This is the first report from the Chiricahua Mountains since 2004.

Broad rufous crown stripes and bright yellow breast make this species nearly unmistakeable.
