Rufous-capped Warbler (Basileuterus rufifrons), Peņa Blanca Canyon, Santa Cruz County

This family group of Rufous-capped Warblers was found by Sally Johnsen and Rodd Lancaster on 7/9/2015 and was photographed by Laurens Halsey on 10 July. The family group included two adults and three juveniles.

Over twenty records, many involving multiple individuals, long staying birds, and breeding.

Unmistakeable, yellow throat and breast with rufous crown stripes and auriculars, and bold white supercilium.
