Reddish Egret
Patagonia Lake, Santa Cruz County

This Reddish Egret, found on 7/22/05 by Michael Retter, and photographed on 7/23/05 by Matt Brown, represents the first documented sighting of this species in Santa Cruz County. According to Mark Stevenson: "as with all Reddish Egrets seen in AZ it was a dark morph bird, and like most it was juvenile."
